Mackenzie Jones is a small, handmade jewellery brand rooted in meaning, simplicity, and slow creation.

Right now, the business is shifting into a more streamlined, intentional structure. With that, I’m looking to bring on one person to support order fulfillment within the Canadian side of the business.

This is not a traditional team environment. It’s a quiet, work from home, independent role designed for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and takes pride in doing simple things well.

The Role

Part-time Order Fulfillment (Canada)

A steady, task-based position focused on:

• packing and shipping orders
• handling repairs and exchanges through established systems
• keeping things organized and moving smoothly

This role is work-from-home and must be within 30 minutes of one of the following locations:
Calgary, Canmore/Banff or Red Deer

A Note

This role will become the central hub for Canadian orders moving forward, so finding the right fit matters. I’m looking for someone who wants to take ownership of a simple system and do it well over time.

Dispatcher

General Responsibilities

• Pack customer orders with care and accuracy

• Package and tag larger wholesale orders

• Print shipping labels and prepare parcels

• Sort and tag incoming inventory

• Drop off shipments (Canada Post/Chit Chats)

• Pick up from PO box

• Process repairs and exchanges using established systems and templates (no decision making required)

• Scan customer service inbox for customer requests

• Maintain packaging supplies and notify when restocking is needed

• Work from home, set up provided by the company

Other Responsibilities (Optional Based on Hours)

• Reorder shipping supplies as needed

• Weekly spreadsheet upload

• Wire Wrapping

Location Requirement (Non-Negotiable)

• Must be located within 30 minutes of Calgary, Red Deer or Canmore/Banff

• Role is tied to a PO box location (must be easily accessible to you)

• Long term-consistency in location is required

Personal Skills

• Comfortable working independently without supervision

• Reliable and consistent

• Detail-oriented

• Able to follow a clear, repeatable system

• Organized and self-directed

• Clear and simple communication

Studio Skills

• Basic packaging and order handling

• Label printing and shipping preparation

• Inventory awareness

• Wire wrapping (not required, based on interest)

Performance Goals

• Orders are packed accurately and on time

• Shipments are completed within agreed timelines

• Work is completed with consistency and care

• Communication remains clear and proactive

• All orders shipped within four days or less

Communication

• Communicate directly with Mackenzie regarding:
· shipment timing
· supply needs
· any issues or delays

• Follow established workflows for order fulfillment

Additional/Temporary Responsibilities

Annual inventory (end of February)
Light support during higher volume periods if needed

Company Responsibilities

• Provide clear systems and training

• Provide all materials and supplies required for the role

• Provide at home office set up (if needed)

• Pay on agreed schedule

Employee Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks within agreed timeframe

• Communicate availability and any changes clearly

• Maintain consistency and reliability in the role

Pay Rate + Hours

• $20.00 hourly rate starting

• Trial period of 2-4 weeks to ensure a good fit for both

• Minimum 4 hours paid weekly

• Must be available for 2 consistent dispatch days per week

• No more than 3 days between dispatch days

• Hours to be tracked in Push

• Monthly home office stipend
